Why I'm taking photography

Since freshman year I have wanted to take photography class, but my love of photography actually goes way back. I had a Polaroid camera when I was younger that I used to use for everything. I would take it everywhere with me trying to take good pictures. Of course I was very young, so none of the pictures were actually good, but the want was there. I've always loved photography and photo editing as an artistic medium, and really want to learn how to effectively use it. Plus, I want to be a journalist and skills with a camera can only be useful in that regard.
